One of my coping strategies was to listen to Holly Cole's cover of "I Can See Clearly Now" every morning and lose myself in it until it was true. It took me over a year to fully recover. Logo 7 speaks seems to be expressing my journey, at least - the clouds are clearing and the sun is starting to come out. Whether that is consistent with your message is something you need to decide.

Re: Life Raft Logos

Logo 7 is my choice, it's perfect for what you want to express. For me, you can see the light at the end of the path. So, even if the path, your life, has big or small obstacles coming from different directions like storms to get wet, or high mountains to climb, or difficult problems in the river, you have the hope that at the end of it you'll find the peace you are looking for.

Re: Life Raft Logos

Definately logo 7. The hopeful feeling of the sun coming out from behind the clouds is uplifting too. The bend in the river shows that life doesn't always go on a straight path, but that it will flow on.

Re: Life Raft Logos

The logos with the figure could put some people off. Your organisation is called The Life Raft and 5 shows that. I prefer the more peaceful calming colours of 7. Could you combine 5 and 7? eg blue double wave (feeling overwhelmed by the storms), green life raft (rescue, life peace), blue cloud (despondency) with the sun (a bright future ahead) coming out behind.

Re: Life Raft Logos

A figure in lotus position is not everyone's idea of a comfortable meditation and might put off anyone who wants an easy, effortless option. If meditation and self awareness are components of your program, I like the meditating figure (who is not necessarily a buddha). Maybe alter the image to female as someone suggested? Because logos 1 and 2 have rays- they seem to aim at a Buddhist goal of enlightenment. Logos 3 and 4 look more rounded and centered and to me appear to be more about attaining some control and composure as your life flows along. I like the blue/green scheme better than the orange as it seems more calm/relaxed rather than excited/agitated.The logos 5 and 7 have no human figure and to me do not represent your purpose. In terms of aesthetics alone- I definitely like 7 the best of all though.

Re: Life Raft Logos

I agree with all comments re not using a Buddha-type image as it looks like this could be a religious type program being promoted and presumably it is more for help with relieving personal stress, without any religious element. Religious meditation & inner peace are already available within different faiths, so please make the personal relaxation aspect of this program clear! For this reason, I've gone with the great outdoors theme of Logo no. 7.

Re: Life Raft Logos

The human figure in logo 1 is the only one which seems to be part of the whole, not being "secluded" that's why I like it the most!

Re: Life Raft Logos

Rob

I do so agree with Danielle Wilson.

Logo 7 looks modern and stylish and looks great in black and whits and at different scales.

Go for Logo 7

I, too, have voted for No 7 because of the religion-free image even though I am not personally anti- in that context; I just think it's an unwelcome distraction for your tools. I also like the colour combination available in No 7. The Life Raft in No 5 looks a bit lumpy - like Uluru in an Australian context!! So, as has been suggested elsewhere, a more dynamic isometric presentation flowing along a stream would have connected better - A touch of Huck Finn with a sail maybe?

Re: Life Raft Logos

Logo 3 is in green, colour of tranquillity (like a stroll in the woods). You float in your own bubble for a little while to regain your inner balance. In logo 2 the radiation of that to the environment is to be seen, but that is not your main goal. You seek your own rest and later on, as a result, your family and class become more relaxed because you are.

Re: Life Raft Logos

Log 4 has an air of tranquility and punchy confidence

Re: Life Raft Logos

I prefer Logo 7. To me it's like a breath of fresh air. When looking at it, it gives me a sense of peace as opposed to all the turmoil around me. I think it does justice to the purpose of the program it is to be used for. I feel the others with the sitting Buddha are too religious inclined and may allow for some negativity from some viewers.

Re: Life Raft Logos

Rob, after the agitation one goes through in life there is a sunny light that one looks forward too, a peacefulness that one attains after all irrational thoghts and fears are settled.
